The North Shore is where our largest quotes come from. Purpose-built gym rooms with 9 to 12 foot ceilings, full mirror walls, and equipment lists that stretch beyond the standard rack-cable-dumbbell setup. The catch is that these homes sit on some of the steepest lots in Metro Vancouver — getting the equipment to the room is often more work than assembling it. We handle both. One point of contact from consultation through install day, and our own crew doing the driving, unloading, and assembly.
North Shore Homes
Where a North Shore home gym usually goes.
Three build types cover most North Shore projects. The lot terrain usually dictates the room type before the client does.
North Vancouver detached
Lynn Valley, Edgemont, Blueridge, Deep Cove. Full basement or dedicated ground-floor gym room. 500 to 900 square feet is typical. Full racks, cable columns, Smith machines, and dumbbell walls all fit. Access is usually straightforward.
West Vancouver hillside
British Properties, Caulfeild, Bayridge, Whitby Estates. Purpose-built gym rooms with high ceilings and often a view. The equipment list here is the biggest we quote — multi-station rigs, dual cable columns, full plate loading, cardio, and integrated mirror walls. The complication is the driveway grade.
Sea-to-Sky & waterfront
Lions Bay, Furry Creek, Squamish, Whistler. Second homes and chalets with dedicated fitness rooms. Install is scheduled around Sea-to-Sky highway conditions. Waterfront builds also come with the salt-air moisture consideration.
Delivery & Install
Home gym installation on the North Shore.
North Shore install day is defined by terrain. Four things we plan for before scheduling:
- Steep driveways. West Vancouver driveways can hit grades that a loaded cargo truck won't safely descend. We check grade in advance and, when needed, park on the street and use dollies rated for the slope.
- Split-level access. Many North Shore homes are multi-level with the gym on a walk-out lower level facing the view. We plan the route through that walk-out door rather than fighting stairs from the main floor.
- Sea-to-Sky trips. Squamish and Whistler installs are scheduled around highway conditions. We batch materials for a single trip and confirm the route is clear before departure.
- Waterfront moisture. On Lions Bay, Deep Cove, and Ambleside builds close to the water, salt air affects long-term equipment finish. We spec accordingly and use flooring rated for coastal humidity.

Do you serve both North Vancouver and West Vancouver?
Yes. Our North Shore service area covers all of North Vancouver (City and District), West Vancouver, Deep Cove, and Lions Bay. Install day includes our own crew driving to the address. No third-party freight, no sub-contracted assembly.
Can you install on a steep hillside lot with limited driveway access?
Yes. Steep hillside driveways are a defining feature of West Vancouver and the upper North Shore. We check driveway grade in advance and, when needed, unload from the street and use dollies rated for the slope. On split-level homes we plan the route through the walk-out lower level rather than fighting stairs from the main floor.
Do you also serve Sea-to-Sky (Squamish and Whistler)?
Yes. We install home gyms up Highway 99 into Squamish and Whistler, including chalets and second homes. Sea-to-Sky installs are scheduled around highway conditions and typically completed in a single trip. The consultation and quoting process is the same as any other build.
What does a custom home gym cost on the North Shore?
Residential builds start at $15,000 for equipment. North Shore projects often land higher because the rooms are larger and the equipment lists are more ambitious — typically $30,000 to $80,000 for a full purpose-built gym room. Written quote after the free consultation.
How long does a North Shore home gym build take?
Seven to ten weeks from quote approval to install day. About six weeks of that is manufacturer production. The rest is shipping and scheduling. A 50% deposit confirms the order and starts production. The balance is due on install day.
