Standing Calf Raise

A selectorized standing calf raise built around twin padded shoulder yokes that load the entire kinetic chain through plantar flexion — the trainee stands on the foot platform, presses up against the shoulder pads, and drives through the calves to lift the load. The standing position keeps the knees straight, which biases the gastrocnemius (the larger upper calf muscle) over the soleus targeted by the seated machines — pairing this with the seated calf raise hits both heads of the calf complex through the full programme. The twin shoulder pads distribute load evenly across both traps and shoulders; the selectorized weight stack indexes from light loads through serious working weight in single-pin increments, letting trainees progressively overload calf work the same way they load any other lift. Chrome guide rods keep the cable run smooth through years of high-traffic use; the wide bolt-down base plants the machine flat to the floor under aggressive use. Built for serious commercial gyms and performance centres that take calf training seriously alongside the rest of the leg programme.
